ABOUT THE DESIGNER

Clarence Lee DuBose, II is the son of the late Clarence Lee DuBose, Sr., and Rudell Evans DuBose. While growing up, DuBose has excel in visual arts classes. In 1993, DuBose won the Art and Business award as a sixth grader. He also participated in extracurricular activities such as basketball, football, and the marching band. He graduated from Mayo High School for Math, Science, and Technology with a high school diploma in 1999. He attended Winthrop University in Rock Hill, S.C., and received a Bachelor's degree in fine arts with a concentration in Visual Communication Design in 2003.

In 2007, DuBose started his teaching career at York Junior High as an Art teacher and Video Production Teacher. He continued his teaching career at various Lee County and Darlington County School District schools. It is DuBose’s passion to help his students by assisting them in reaching their fullest potential in all areas by providing a conducive learning environment that supports risk-taking and encourages new ideas to be created. Students learn and retain information through an interesting and interactive classroom. Through his teachings, Dubose
focused on developing and enhancing core subjects through the elements of art with utilizing various instructional methods to meet the varying needs of all his students.
Under DuBose’s guidance, he has taught four students that finished first in the Darlington County School District Art and Business Contest. His art students also received respectable placing in various art contest like Doodle for Google.
